LaBoyteaux–Letter to the Supreme Court

Dear Justices:

If there is really any question that District Courts may issue nationwide injunctions, surely it must be in cases that involve our actual persons, our bodies and those of millions of individuals all across the country.

I did not agree with the District Court ruling in the Mifepristone case but I never doubted that this issue had nationwide impacts. Other issues which, without exception, involve everyone’s body are birth, air and food. We must breathe and eat.

In several recent cases, it appears you have allowed serious harm to continue, “for now”, toward many thousands of people; lives upended, careers destroyed, likely socio-economic distress. I’m talking about DOGE mass-firings and layoffs for alledged “poor performance”. Trans persons in the military have always been there. And now ending humanitarian parole for 500,000 people who are in this country legally, vetted, sponsored.

Why were these “emergency” cases at all?

How can you be so distant from people’s lives? It appears to me you are complicit in the cruelty.

LaBoyteaux–Into the Void Again, Supreme Court

Once again the Supreme Court is allowing Trump to carry out mass deportations before hearing the merits of the case.  This involves 500,000 “paroled” persons in the United States, a program dating back to Eisenhower.  I”m not sure if thhis is the same as Temporary Protected Status.  Once again the Court is a void when it comes to the human impacts of these “emergency” and “shadow docket” decisions.  They allow the cruelty to continue.  Please read my past several posts about the Supreme Court.  I have exhausted all the words I know about haw distant and void they are from the human condition.

And yes this wasthe Temporary Protected Status people.  There was no good legal reason to overturn the district and appeal courts in this case.  These people are at mortal risk if returned to their home countries.  Trump don’t give a shit.  This is a politically motivated Supreme Court.

LaBoyteaux–that meme coin thing (cryptocurrency)

With streetcar tokens one can at least ride the streetcar.  Meme coin has no actual value.  I suppose there is no telling what rich fools will do with their money, and buying meme coin is not illegal.  However selling political favors is illegal.

LaBoyteaux–Supreme Court Again

FROM MY PREVIOUS Supreme Court post, I do not understand law without compassion but I think I see a pattern here.  Make a decision based on a technicality or a minor related issue while allowing justice on the main issue to time out unaddressed.  They ignore the people’s needs while supporting the tyrant.  I think this is a politically motivated Supreme Court.

May 10, 2025 they did it again.  Allowed Trump’s ban on Trans persons in the military to go into effect, until and probably not it reaches them on appeal.  From most reporting this policy is based on gross prejudice based on gender/sex and slanderous accusations about Trans people generally.  So once again they make a decision on a technicality or minor issue while allowing justice for the people effected to time out.  These people will all be kicked out of the military, lives upended, careers destroyed.  Ignore justice for the people while kissing the ring of the tyrant.  And they contributed in large measure to this problem with their “Immunity” decision last year.  They created a shield for corruption.

So Birthright Citizenship is on the docket this week.  Another “emergency” appeal from the Trump Administration being heard without full briefing and deliberation.  Birthright Citizenship has been recognized since 1868, upheld many times by previous Supreme Courts and three current district court rulings.  The promise of America!   Once again they could have just waited until it came to them on normal appeal or not taken it up at all.  So we will see more clearly than ever, if this is a politically motivated Supreme Court.

LaBoyteaux–So It Has Come To This

Trumps says in interview yesterday that he is not sure he needs to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States.  Where the hell is the fucking Congress!

LaBoyteaux–The Supreme Court

In the case of the Enemy Aliens Act deportation of 238 Venezuelan migrants to the terrorism prison in El Salvador, the Supreme Court just affirmed that no one can be deported without being told what is happening to them and having the opportunity to be heard before a judge ….. due process.  However the all male majority on the court also ended the temporary restraining order allowing for now continued use of the Enemy Alien Act and possible continued deportation to the terrorism prison in El Salvador, cruel and unusual punishment.  They also determined that migrants had brought their case to the wrong court and raised the wrong issues.  They have to bring any case where they are being held in detention in Texas.  Why not where they were arrested?  Why not in Washington when challenging a policy of the Executive branch?

I’ve called out previously how distant the Court has become from the human condition, people’s actual lives, where they live.  So what happens to the 238 individuals imprisoned in El Salvador, many of whom it seems have no criminal record?  (60 Minute Special).  I do not understand law without compassion but I think I see a pattern here.  Make a decision based on a technicality or a minor related issue while allowing justice on the main issue to time out unaddressed.  They ignore the people’s needs while supporting the tyrant.  I think this is a politically motivated Supreme Court.

On the same day they allowed the mass firing of 16,000 “probationary” government employees, who were all told they were being fired for “poor performance” ….. for now.  These people are screwed and the Court has allowed their interests to time out in deference to the tyrant.  What will they do with the Temporary Protected Persons case, 632,000 people who cannot return to their home countries except at their peril.  In this case the District Court said the government’s reasoning “dripped with racial animus”  And yesterday AG Bondi ordered the removal of 900,000 people who applied for asylum, in good faith, through the on line Ap, claiming they are a threat to national security.

The Congress could stop these abuses but they are too wimped out and the Democrats alone do not have the votes.  Seems they got a little worked up about the tariffs, that’s about money ….. but still too wimped out to actually do anything.  We pray that the courts will protect the people but its looking pretty shaky.  Coming down to the conscience of the Nation.

So the case of Abrego Garcia has reached the Supreme Court.  See my post “Wrongly Deported”.  Watch this one.  So yesterday, the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration “must facilitate” the return of Abrego Garcia to the United States.  We’ll see, the Trump Justice Department still seems to be resisting.  The Trump administration’s treatment of individuals, immigrants but also U.S. citizens is digusting, shameful,  an insult to our nation, inhumane, ignores the rule of law, is morally bankrupt and unfathomably cruel.  That terrorism prison in El Salvador is cruel and unusual punishment.

LaBoyteaux–Mistakenly Deported

This man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who the government admits was mistakenly deported to El Salvador, has been ordered returned to the U.S., but now the governments says they can’t get him back.  Obviously they (the government) have the same diplomatic channels they used to deport people to El Salvador in the first place.  If necessary, as President, I would appeal to the President of El Salvador for his return.  Of course I would not have deported all those men to El Salvador without due process in the first place.  However cruelty and avoidance of the law seema to be part of the Trump administration.

LaBoyteaux–Smithsonian

Has the Smithsonian Institution distorted U.S. History in the interest of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion?  Certainly not, but Donald Trump has a problem with the African-American History and Culture section of the Museum.  Also the contribution of women to our Country.  See the following linked article.  You may need to paste this link into your browser.
